Kevin Bain

Dr. Kevin T. Bain is Vice President of Clinical Pharmacy Strategy for GalenusCare and Dean of GalenusCare University. He is recognized for his expertise as a scientific researcher, medical communicator, and pharmacotherapy educator. His research contributions are evident in his publication of approximately 50 manuscripts and his role as peer reviewer for nearly 40 journals. As a medical communicator, he has owned and operated a medical communications agency, and as a pharmacotherapy educator, Dr. Bain has taught healthcare professionals at various levels, including as an Adjunct Professor at the university level. 

He previously served as Senior Vice President for CareKinesis, where he led the  

Applied Precision Pharmacotherapy Institute, implementing its pharmacogenomics clinical service, developing its proprietary clinical decision support system, spearheading its APPE-accredited university, and mentoring its post-graduate pharmacy practice residency program. Earlier, as Vice President of Clinical Support for excelleRx, he led a team of clinicians to develop and implement medication use guidelines for end-of-life care. He also served as Associate Chief of Pharmacy Services at a VA medical center. 

Dr. Bain has served as a board member for the Commission for Certification in Geriatric Pharmacy and the Board of Pharmacy Specialties. He earned his BSc in Pharmacy and PharmD from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia and his MPH from Drexel University. He holds certificates in personalized medicine, pharmacogenomics, and delivering medication therapy management services.
