Robert L. Alesiani
Dr. Robert L. Alesiani is a Board Certified Geriatric Pharmacist (BCGP) and Collaborative Protocol Advisor for GalenusCare. He is among the first clinical pharmacists in the U.S. trained in personalized medicine, with expertise in coordinating and interpreting pharmacogenomic tests for people on high-risk medications.
He previously served as Chief Pharmacotherapy Officer for CareKinesis, where he led the Medication Care Plan Support Center. Earlier, as Director of the Clinical Center for excelleRx, he led more than 60 clinical pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to deliver specialized pharmacy services in end-of-life care. He was also Director of Compounding, responsible for formulating unique dosage forms for medication administration for the hospice patients.
Dr. Alesiani earned his BSc in Marine Sciences (Biology) from Stockton University, his BSc in Pharmacy from University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, and his PharmD from the University of Florida, where he graduated cum laude and received the College of Pharmacy’s Outstanding Graduating Clinician Award. He is also a recipient of the American Pharmacist Association’s prestigious Hugo H. Schaefer Award for lifetime contributions to the society and profession of pharmacy.
